When most people picture yoga, they picture shapes: a forward fold, a warrior, a headstand. Postures are a real and valuable part of the practice — they build strength, mobility and body awareness. But they are a means, not the end.
At its heart, yoga is a practice of attention. When you move slowly enough to notice your breath, you begin to notice everything else: where you hold tension, how your mind reacts to difficulty, what ease actually feels like.
